Mountain Quest Inn

The inn belonged to a family that converted an old farmhouse into an inn. I think this may have been used for retreats in the past. The highlight is truly the extraordinary library with an eclectic collection of toys. The location is convenient for excursions to nearby hikes. Staff is friendly.

The whole place is in need of renovations -- the room was pretty basic, the beds relatively small for a family room, and the whole place feels a bit shabby, surprising given the price point, but it was very clean.

It was absolutely beautiful and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.

Wasn't too thrilled about the little wooden bridge since we were in motorcycle.

Absolutely great ambience. The rooms were very clean and wonderfully decorated. Each room has a theme with numerous artifacts from the cast collection of souvenirs of the owners, the Bennett's. The inn is a sort of a museum and a library combined together with a huge library containing thousands of books and DVDs. The inn sits inside a farm that has animals like ponies, donkeys and horses and cuddly cats all over the place all within a valley surrounded by majestic mountains. I loved it. Would go there again.

Wish I had a microwave but the kitchen and dining room is always a feasible to all guests. There was no wi-fi in the rooms though there is a cabled internet. But that can be good for people who is looking to be away from cellphone networks which is banned in the quiet Zone .

Beautiful location. There's no Wi-Fi bc it's a radio silence zone, but the Ethernet is good. I had my own adapter but the hotel says they have their own. AC/heating unit provided nice white noise.

If you are put into rooms 2-2 or 2-3 ask to switch. The water heater next door is loud. The fan drowned out the sound until about 6 am when some machine made a super loud scream. It went away after a few minutes, but also the shades barely block the light, so don't plan to sleep late. The room was clean, but the toilet bowl hadn't been cleaned in weeks.

The facility was clean. The staff friendly and efficient.
