Location

Room was not clean cobwebs dust everywhere no heating on ! So we were supplied with a small electric heater bed was uncomfortable the bar was not open so unable to use facilities. This was not stated at the time of booking so that was very disappointing

"A little Gem in Bridgnorth!"

8.0

Beautiful old traditional pub with accommodation. Very well maintained given it's age. Great location for a night out in Bridgnorth. Nice Guinness and good prices for Bridgnorth. This is our second visit and will definitely visit again!

Rooms are old so allow for the uneven floors in the bedrooms . Stairs curvy and narrow, had a laugh manoeuvring our way up at the end of the night. Not so much of a dislike just thought it should be mentioned so people know what to expect! Personally we loved it all.

"Nice but has been better!"

Another lovely stay at the Bassa Villa however the soap dispenser hadn't been topped up. The toilet roll on the holder wasn't new and overall we felt it lacked detail as if it had being cleaned in a hurry!

Room lacked cleanliness check!

"Fine for one night."

7.0

Good location, nice old pub. The pizzas we ordered were excellent.

Shame you cannot get breakfast at the pub. Although, there is a nice place which is opposite the pub, it did not open until 10am on the Sunday morning which is a bit late. Also, we ordered Pizza from the bar and when we enquired where it was after 45 minutes, we were told that there had been a backlog of take out orders down in the kitchen. Our pizzas arrived shortly afterwards. I cannot believe that pizza were cooked for external orders in preference to paying patrons who were sitting in the bar spending money on drinks. The bar was not packed at all. The other point is it is unfortunate that there is not parking at the pub but we did know that in advance and the nearest car park was not too far away.

That it was right by river

When booking,it didn't say you were up in the eaves, very narrow staircase, very narrow steps on stairs that you couldn't get feet on only sideways, and had to bend over could not stand up straight to get up stairs and not a proper full sized door to room, was way smaller, had to bend over to go through, room was no better, could only stand up straight in middle bit, very old and tired furniture, cupboard doors off, paint coming off others, did ask manager if any other rooms available, he said no you saw what it was like in picture, I said it didn't describe trouble getting up to it being so low and narrow,he said nothing I can do,so total waste of time, would not recommend at all

"Not our best stay and this is usually our go to place to stay in Bridgnorth"

Friendly staff at check in

No towels in the room and no one around to deal with them as hotel not manned at night / in the morning Room had perilously low ceilings / dangerous. Being able to hear the couple shagging in the room below us.

"Ok for a night away in Bridgnorth but expensive for what it was."

5.0

It was a lovely traditional building. Warm inside, nice and clean

The shower wasn’t very good. Hot water but very awkward to use as cubicle was small and shower was far from the wall meaning we were forced to be right up the glass. Poor design. The bed was a bit squeaky but was comfortable. The offer of breakfast would have been nice. Even if just toast and cereal.
