Friendly, welcoming staff. Plenty of parking space. Good food, both in the evening and at breakfast (my eggs royal arrived with the sauce rather too cool, it was changed quickly and the new version was excellent). Warm and cosy dining area. Dog-friendly indeed - the space, the staff, the other visitors too! Nice big comfortable bed, as advertised, good bathroom. The village was lovely, too, with a playing field not far away to exercise the dog.

The room felt a bit small, possibly because it had to contain a big bed! Meant that it wasn't easy to get round a sleeping pooch to reach the bathroom. The outlet ventilator from the kitchen emerged next to our room, the noise from which was quite noticeable in the evening and the morning.

The staff were lovely nothing was to much trouble. The food is lovely. Comfy rooms

The food was excellent, lots of choice and reasonably priced. My room was comfortable, clean and right temperature. I would most definitely stay here again if I happened to be working in the area. Pricing was extremely reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

LIKED THE BEDROOM THO FOUND THE FLOOR COLD - MAYBE A RUG?. FAB GOLD LOO AND LOVELY BATH, PLENTY OF HOT WATER AND APPRECIATED THE INDIVIDUAL SOAP AND BUBBLE BATH . ENJOYED THE REAL FIRE IN THE BAR AND SUPPER WAS EXCELLENT (VENISON STEAKS) AND GOOD CHOICES FOR BREAKFAST.

tHE EMERGENCY GREEN LIGHT TOO BRIGHT ONCE ALL OTHER ROOM LIGHTS SWITCHED OFF.
