LIKED THE BEDROOM THO FOUND THE FLOOR COLD - MAYBE A RUG?. FAB GOLD LOO AND LOVELY BATH, PLENTY OF HOT WATER AND APPRECIATED THE INDIVIDUAL SOAP AND BUBBLE BATH . ENJOYED THE REAL FIRE IN THE BAR AND SUPPER WAS EXCELLENT (VENISON STEAKS) AND GOOD CHOICES FOR BREAKFAST.

We received a very warm welcome, and immediately felt relaxed in this lovely rural pub with rooms. Our bedroom was not huge, but it was clean, beautifully decorated and furnished. We loved the attention to detail - the books to read, the coffee tray and little extras, as well as the more practical iron, ironing board and fan. The bed was extremely comfortable with high quality luxury bedding. Our evening meal and breakfast were well cooked & presented and delicious! We will definitely be back and cannot recommend highly enough.

Excellent service from both older and younger staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Lovely quiet place in the middle of hills, but central between Reading, Swindon and Oxford.

Bathroom door lock didn't fully work, some cracks in the tiles near the bath's edges. Acceptable in a more country-like environment. It was all very clean though.

Breakfast was great. Nice people and good service. Bed was super comfortable.
