"Lovely stay."

10.0

Beautiful pub. Fab range of real ales and ciders. Staff were brilliant friendly and sociable and had good craic. Room was lovely. Big comfy bed. Shame I didn’t get to spend longer in it to be honest! Breakfast facilities top notch even being self service! Shared bathroom not an issue at all. 5 mins from a close friends house so will deffo be back!

Nothing! Loved it

Personeel was heel gastvrij. Echte gevoel en sfeer van een Engele pub. Mooie wandelingen langs de rivier Tyne.

"Exceptional"

9.0

Good idea to have kitchen for use of the guests.

Understand that the accomadation is above a public house, but rather noisy that doesn't help in trying to get to sleep. It would help if there was somwhere secure a locked shed, for the traveller coming by bicycle especially as it is close to route 72. Could use a more extensive menu for food at night.

"An ideal stay for walkers."

10.0

This was an ideal hotel for walkers on Hadrian’s Wall. The bed was comfy and the bath was amazing! There was also a nice, spacious kitchen with items provided for breakfast, which I had not expected. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Checkout was simple and I was able to continue my walk early the next morning.

"Easygoing and comfortable."

7.0

Easy to get to on foot. No cooked breakfast is provided but cereals and pastries are readily available as well as jams, bread and preserves as well and teas, coffee and milk. The shared kitchen has cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven & grill, toaster, fridge and freezer to cook anything you have brought with you or purchased at the co-op in the village. There is a large shared lockable bathroom including toilet, shower, washbasin and shower. Residents have their own lockable access as the guest rooms are above the bar area of the inn.

Nothing in particular.

"Welcoming place to stay & staff especially Sarah mega helpful."

10.0

Special shout out to Sarah who was extremely welcoming & helpful. Great to have use of a very well equipped shared kitchen. Supplies of breakfast cereals & pastries a welcome surprise. Impressed there were contact phone numbers available should they be needed as my experience with Booking.com is they overlook this being a necessity. Location good that it was by the train station.

No phone signal (O2 being my provider) but Sarah kindly rang & sorted me a taxi for the following morning

"A very clean and useful friendly place to stay for seeing the local sights."

8.0

The location was amazing next to the river and the resident seals which we delighted in watching. The accommodation was excellent and very clean. The communal kitchen had everything we needed and more. Generous breakfast food provided too. The fact that we had our own exit and entrance as well as through the pub was also good.

The drawback potentially could be the fact that the shared bathroom has to be shared by up to 8 people. And the toilet is in the bathroom, not separate to it. So this could present a problem although when we were staying we were the only two people so it wasn’t a problem and it didn’t come to queuing up.
