The Woodman Inn

Comfortable and functional

Loved the quiet location. The public areas were very cosy and comfortable and our bedroom was superb with the most comfortable bed ever! Food was also delicious and the staff were so friendly.

Only one tiny thing - if at all possible then the television on the wall should be lowered as when you sit on the sofa it hurts your neck to look up at it.

All necessary equipment was there but wasn't as cosy as we were expecting but it was functional.

Being offered black pudding to make up for not many pieces of scampi on my evening meal and far too much cheese sauce on the wensleydale chicken it was swamped.

This was the third time we have stayed at The Woodman Inn . It has recently changed under new management but is still excellent. The dinner and breakfast was also excellent.

The twin bedded room we had was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent, with plenty of space. Also beautifully decorated. The breakfast, which was included in price, was well cooked and presented. Our evening meals were exceptional. Plenty of choice, served hot, and beautifully cooked.

The outside entrance to our room had a disabled ramp, which was great and much appreciated. However, we feel there should have been hi visual marking on the ground edge of the ramp with the addition of handrail, as it was so easy to miss your footing between going down of the ramp and stepping off.
