"Good pub stay in older style pub."

Nice classic English pub stay. Parking is manageable behind the pub; there are spots to move the car to in the morning nearby… just for a while. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were friendly.

The village itself is a bit underwhelming although it’s easy access back into the New Forest. Room is a little small but fine.

Amazing breakfast. Stayed here a few times and they always remember which is my favourite table without my even having to ask, and they put a small "reserved" sign on it too! Lovely touch thank you!

Was advised that I couldn't arrive later than 10.00 but in fact I could have come even half an hour later as the barmaid was still clearing up. Meant I had to leave my event in London early unnecessarily. Could have been a bit more accommodating.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, willing to accommodate requests. They were happy to have our friend join for breakfast who was not staying in the hotel

Can't really fault anything but if there was an improvement would probably say the room decor is a bit outdated

Full English breakfast was offered along with continental. Food was excellent and location was in the centre of town with lots of pay and display parking

It would have been nice if parking could have been included with the booking as you had to remember to pay at 8am each morning

"You have to PAY for parking"

The bed linen was lovely, (the bed a little lumpy but that's just my personal opinion!) the room was however clean, the breakfast amazing :) The staff were very friendly.

The room was dated and in need of a spruce up. There were parking facilities at the Ship Inn but guests were unable to use them, since Covid apparently???!!!!! This was really annoying as there was obvious space there. We were guided to a pay and display car park immediately behind the pub, once parked we walked through the EMPTY pub car park to our room :( Pay and display is EVERY day and from 8am :(
