The Coylet Inn by Loch Eck

The location was wonderful. We specifically wanted out of the way and this place is certainly that.

Despite the booking confirmation saying breakfast included. Breakfast was not available. We did have all of the electric in the pod trip when simultaneously running the shower, a heater and the tv. We had to ring the inn to get this reset. There is no aerial connected to the tv so when the internet went down 1 night there was no tv available while this was not so much of an issue for me, my partner was disappointed. It would have been nice if my partner and I could have had a coffee in the morning at the same time. Rather than drinking in shifts from the 1 supplied coffee mug. With a little thought and a breakfast chef, stopping at the Coylet Inn could seem worth the relatively high price.

The location and views were brilliant. The Snuggle Doon was secluded and a lovely space with a great deck looking out on the Loch which was very peaceful and atmospheric.

Nothing. Even when the power appeared to have tripped the staff were very quick to respond and very helpful, or when the roast ran out of beef the gammon replacement was exceptional.

Lovely place to stay on the banks of loch eck, food was excellent and the staff very attentive, was only there for one night but next time I'll be staying longer , well done

The views were great but that was the only thing to recommend this accommodation.

There were dog hairs on the bed and in the bed, the room was musty and needed a full renovation, there was no wifi in the room, though it seemed to work downstairs, the bed was uncomfortable and the base was dirty, there was no breakfast available at an extra cost even though this is a rural property and there are no cafes within walking distance. The doona cover zip was broken and the tatty doona was hanging out. We left after one night even though we booked three. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone!

Delightful staff. Lovely room with view over the Loch. Food excellent inn both quality and quantity as well as being very reasonably priced. A most enjoyable stay. We shall return!

Stunning views over the loch Room was very nicely decorated and laid out Bathroom very nice clean I had to leave before seeing what the food etc was like so cannot comment on that.

Arrived on a Monday the bar/restaurant is closed so do not arrive early as you can’t get in. You need to call for someone to let you in. Staff were friendly but disappeared I guess as it’s closed downstairs. Stairs to the rooms are not accessible for everyone I have Arthritis and struggled a bit tight spiral. There’s is no where to walk without going on the road not ideal if you took a pet or at least I couldn’t see one.

Wonderfully located Inn by Loch side that provides a lovely bar with good food in restaurant in evenings (do book) but no breakfast. Very hospitable staff.

Knew no breakfast but would have mads stay great if supplied.

Location was excellent. When we arrived we booked for dinner. Unfortunately the chef had to leave quickly because of a family emergency. Ben handled it brilliantly, phoning round so we could get dinner somewhere else on a Sunday night. He was cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. Whatever you're paying him it's not enough! He kept the evening smooth as he was the only one there. Lovely dining room overlooking the Loch. Great shower Great wildlife in the back garden

No breakfast No storage in the en-suite for toiletries. Could do with some storage drawers.
