Spotlessly clean Great location for town/uni Historic building Value for money Car parking (two garages offered)

Smaller than expected bedroom (double with extra bed) at top of the building. No shower No iron Room needs a little tlc

Libby, the landlady, was exceptional. She showed us where to park, up to our delightful room and gave us a pint each on the house. Would definitely recommend.

Single glazing means there is some road noise, but very little all considered.

Shower a little bit unpredictable but lovely hot water when we worked it out.

We loved the friendliness of the owners and customers alike. We really enjoyed the history of the inn and the stories we were told about it. The vibe in the inn was so relaxed and comfortable we’ll definitely return. Michael and Libby were exceptionally welcoming, to us and our little dog who also loved the place.

Hugely individual; an absolute treasure of a place. Immaculate housekeeping and lovely folk (both staff and customers). Obviously cared for with a passion.
