Property Notes

Please be aware that the hotels restaurant is only open for lunch on Sundays and is open Monday-Saturday for evening meals. Included in New Year's Eve rooms are: New Years Eve party till late, live music by the local band "Clarity" and a hot buffet served at 21:00. Please be aware the hotels bar is open from 5pm every day except Sunday when it is closed all day. It closes at 10pm Monday to Wednesday, and at 11pm Thursday to Saturday. The restaurant serves meals from 5.30pm - 8.00pm (last food order) every day except Sunday when it is closed. Check in is from 3pm each day, with the latest check in 9pm Monday-Saturday and 6pm Sunday.

La nostra camera che si affacciava sulla strada era leggermente rumorosa poiché si affacciava sulla strada. Il bagno avrebbe bisogno di essere ammodernato ma era comunque molto pulito! Purtroppo durante il nostro soggiorno il Wi-Fi nella nostra stanza non funzionava.

"A great find on the way to Whitby"

Great welcome and friendly atmosphere from the owners, guests and staff. The room was good as was the food and drink. I would definitely come again and appreciated the fact that they had disabled facilities.

A minor point but the bathroom was tired and overdue a makeover. A shame as the main bedroom was very well set up.

"Lovely place to stay"

Lovely place to stay We had a very nice meal then chilled out in one of the sitting rooms, found it very relaxing

Bed was awful, springs are going we think very uncomfortable and quilt far too hot for this time of year. Also no bath Matt floor was very wet after shower.

"Wonderful gem with a great night's sleep"

Absolutely loved this little gem. The bed was so comfy. Best night sleep I've had in ages. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Shower was great. Lovely and powerful. Room was clean and inviting with proper Yorkshire teabags which was a great sight. Lots of storage available for clothes and plenty of plugs for your devices, both Sharon and Steve were very welcoming and lovely to talk to. Plus its dog friendly so will look to stay again with our pooch.

Nothing. Everything was great. Would stay here again and definitely recommend.

Room was good clean and had a nice view of the garden. All the staff were friendly

We viewed the menu on line and decided to treat ourselves to the rib-eye steak advertised at £23. When it arrived it was a major disappointment.It looked and tasted like a cheap Supermarket steak and not only that we found out later that the price had gone up to £28.

The beautiful spacious room , 4 poster bed , settees . Menu offered a good choice and food was excellent and reasonably priced . Location perfect for us as we were walking the Wolds Way which passed nearby . A frequent bus route stopped outside
