GBThe staff were all extremely helpful and food was very tasty.
It was very noisy until midnight. The room was right next to the smokers' outdoor area and there was no sound proofing system Also the bathroom was very dated and the shower was useless. It's a shame, as I wouldn't stay again because of these two issues.

GBWe traveled for a dog show, therefore we needed a dog friendly hotel and the Lord Nelson ticked all the boxes. Staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Evening meal was excellent and great value for money. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others and we would be happy to stay here again.

MDGBGBI asked for a quiet room. The room was in the courtyard furthest away from the pub. Very comfortable bed, and the filter coffee and cafetiere are a great touch. The food is excellent and the staff are really helpful and friendly. My dog was allowed in the pub, which is fabulous. And there is a great walk just a few hundred meters down the road.
I didn't realise you had to pull a cord to activate the hot water. It took a while to heat up.
