Castle Inn by Greene King Inns

Excellent breakfast, cooked really well and very friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was OK, good size, wardrobe and dressing table, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Good supply of tea and coffee. Well situated in the middle of Bakewell with easy access to the shops and the river and park.

The only drawback was the tiles in the bathroom which needed modernising.

The pub is lovely and a great location in Bakewell. The food is great we ate here for our main meal and again for breakfast. Staff are very friendly. We have stayed a few times before in the outside rooms and they are fine. This is the first time we have stayed upstairs and we were very disappointed with the room/ bathroom only as it was definitely not worth the money spent as we paid separate for all our meals .

The room was dated with stains on the ceiling, tired paintwork and a very dated bathroom, which made it look grubby. Not much hot water either I was cold having a shower, the view was of the extractor fan which was noisy and smelt of cooking.

Location was good. Breakfast was lovely, staff fab
