"A friendly welcome and a comfortable if quirky room in a very old coaching inn."

8.0

Excellent breakfast. Friendly welcome. Comfortable bed. Separate bathroom but private to us. Good selection of beers in the bar.

No evening meal - this was only evident in the 'small print' as the pub was advertised as having a restaurant. Fortunately there were other good options locally. Parking by the hotel is long stay but had to be paid for up to 6pm and then again in the morning (needing an early start) as there didn't appear to be any means of paying for an overnight stay.

Stayed in Cromwell and Rowling rooms. Both rooms were above standard.

The afternoon bartender said the bar was open until 10pm. We came back to the Three Tuns at 9:15 for a night drink before bed and the bartender told us he had stopped serving. (This was a Wednesday night).

"Great spot for cyclists to stay overnight"

10.0

The room was very nice with good shutters to block the early morning light. A tremendous shower (once I figured out how to work it). It was also wonderful to have an indoor room to securely leave our bicycles overnight. Staff handled a morning fire alarm very well too. Breakfast was huge and delicious
