The location and the breakfast. Breakfast staff were lovely.

Staff could have been a little more welcoming on arrival. Shower was a bit slow to drain, had to turn shower off mid shower to let the water go.

I liked the pub's dog friendly accommodation which was perfectly situated next to the castle overlooking the river Wye. Excellent hospitality during our stay and a wonderful breakfast to keep us going for the day.

"Fantastic accommodation, location and hospitality"

10.0

Fabulous location close by magnificent castle and public car park. Accommodation was spotless, very well maintained, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was superb. Staff were all very welcoming. Pub had a lovely atmosphere and a secluded garden. 5 real ales were available and perfectly kept.

Nothing, it was amazing!

"Lovely pub for a short stay."

8.0

We stayed on 2 separate nights en route to and from a holiday destination. The first stay was in the pub itself, in a characterful room with beams and old fashioned charm. The en suite, although small, was perfectly fine for one night. The bed however, wasn't terribly comfortable as it dipped in the middle. Our second stay was in a separate building adjacent to the pub. The room was modern, larger with a large bathroom and definitely had a much more comfortable bed! Breakfast for both stays was very good. Car parking was in an adjacent pay and display car park. £7 a day. The pub had a space on the side pavement for 2-3 vehicles which was in use by the band who were playing that evening. Definitely not enough space for all guests who might be staying. Nice vibe and atmosphere. We would be happy to recommend staying here and we would gladly return ourselves.
