The North Face Lodge

We spent four nights at North Face Lodge. Owner, manager, Robin is so friendly and accommodating. The Ski Hill Room is charming and has everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend this place.

This is a vintage motel that has been spruced up. The room had a nice view and a common area deck just outside a sliding glass door. The room was spacious and had a small refrigerator/freezer, coffee pot, microwave, numerous lamps, kitchen towel, paper towels, and nice bath towels. The bath soap was scented with cinnamon/nutmeg and seemed to be handmade. The staff could not have been friendlier. The beds were fine. The room was very clean. Parking is a bit tight but we didn't have trouble parking close to our room. A number of other customers had rock crawlers so be prepared to hear them warming up not too long after sunrise. Overall we were very happy with the stay.

Truly enjoyed our stay at this lodge. Each room has a fun theme. The kitchenette had everything we needed, and we made extensive use of the shared deck. The views are lovely. We used this as a comfy place to stay before hiking Handies. Would definitely stay there again.

It had everything we could have needed for a quick hiking weekend getaway. The shower was hot and had great pressure, the room was spacious and airy. The beds were super comfortable, the location was perfect - just outside of the town but still walkable. Hugh and Barb are great and had the room ready and unlocked for our late arrival. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely be coming back.

The porch is shared with all the rooms, so be prepared for someone to potentially walk by or if you want to leave the curtains open or the door cracked open. Not a deal breaker by any means, but just a heads up.
