Really lovely pub, very comfortable room with everything you need

As ever, the staff were friendly and the service was great, throughout my stay.

We really liked the quirkiness and all the Tudor features

The hotel is situated in a great location on the high street and is absolutely full of charm and character. The room (or rather the suite) we had, was huge and was very well appointed, as well as having the character that the rest of the pub and hotel had. The bed was very comfortable and there was a bath and powerful shower with plenty of hot water. There were 2 TVS and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was very nice and there were plenty of options from the menu. This is a very minor thing, but the windows in the room don't open and so it can get quite warm. There is a fan in the room but it's a desktop one so not so useful when you're in bed as there's nowhere to put it. Maybe a floor or ceiling fan could be used instead?

The venue, location, parking and value for money was great. The team on hand at reception and the bar/restaurant were really helpful, and the venue for a break or celebration you could not go wrong. Had a lovely sun trap in the courtyard.

Breakfast servers were short/abrupt, in contrast to everyone else. Drainage /wc in the room was struggling, old building.

Location wonderful, pubs/ restaurants/ shops. Architectural buildings. Bull itself, inside and out is fascinating. Surrounding countryside and villages are stunning. Parking no problem

Bathroom a bit dated Food not good, had better fish and chips from a roadside van. Full English breakfast was not good, cheap nasty sausages, would rather one decent sausage than two cheap ones. Bacon fatty and an insiped egg, Had continental following day was acceptable and good value. Green king chain, there Beer is rubbish as is food. Would stay again but eat elsewhere

En suite may need a little attention

Very attentive and helpful staff. Beautiful old building, our room was large and beautifully decorated with an excellent shower. The food was particularly good and the hotel is in a very good location. Great value for money.

The mattress was a bit lumpy
