Hotel Acerina Superior

As a family we have regularly spent our ski vacations at the 4* Acerina in the last 15 years. Lech is a quiet, yet exclusive ski resort. It offers a variety of slopes of different difficulty levels, a still romantic looking village and one of Europe's longest coasting slides which is a great family attraction especially on days of bad weather. We also enjoy the beautiful cross-country skiing trails into the valley, Having tried out different destinations over the last decades, we do prefer Lech to Kitzbühel, Zermatt, Val d'Isère, St. Moritz or other more ostensibly cosmopolitan as well as lively spots. The Acerina is a 5 minutes walk away from the main lifts. Skis can be rented at Ski Alp or Strolz. For Acerina guests, those rental stores offer a convenient and free of charge ski and ski shoes overnight depot. Hence, there is no need to carry the ski materials around. The Wolf family is a wonderful host. Breakfast buffet and 4 to 5 course dinners at the Acerina are traditional and very good. The wine list is alright and offers a focus on Austrian top wineries. The hotel's overall atmosphere is Austrian style cosy, yet without being old fashioned (the hotel and its spacious wellness area have recently been modernised). Services are great and the staff very friendly. We are very much looking forward to returning to the Wolf family and its Acerina in 2023!

I stayed here with my daughter in March of 2019 and it was perfect. The location is nice, just a 5 min walk from the active center of Lech, but far enough to be quiet and tranquil. We reserved one of their smaller rooms, but it was all that we needed, with comfortable beds, clean, updated bathroom and a beautiful view. We also reserved a half-board plan, which included breakfast and dinner, both of which were delicious. The owners are there every day and take pride in providing their guests a pleasant stay.

Having booked after reading the reviews - we had fairly high expectations about the food and the service. They were all exceeded! Fam Wolf really runs this hotel with efficiency, cleanliness and quality - but more importantly than all of that is the felling of being looked after by friends rather than 'staff'. Pamela really has found her vocation in life as she calmly assures that everyone has everything they need whilst smiling, chatting and being absolutely charming. The rest of the staff is amazing too - a real testament to the management of this hotel. And the food..... Just wow...... You get asked to help yourself to the 'salad bar'. That's unlike any salad bar I've ever seen! Lobster mousse, pink duck breast, fillet of wild boar, veal tartare and some amazing vegetable dishes meant you had to keep reminding yourself that there was another 4 courses to go! Gluten free needs were catered for very well too. The spa is amazing - and the wine list even more so. Herr Wolf has great knowledge that he is happy to share - and we had no idea that Austrian wines were so good. We left the Acerina feeling very spoiled :-). My wife doesn't ski, but found the 40km of walking trails kept her with plenty to do and see. She also spent a bit of time in the hotel whilst everyone was out skiing and just loved the calm tranquil vibe - even when staff was going about preparing for people returning in the afternoon.There is a lovely seating area in front of the hotel where a coffee or glass of wine can be enjoyed in the sunshine. Pamela was also super helpful in suggesting walks, busses and even lent my wife her walking poles. Location is good. Not ski in/out, but a 5 min walk to the lifts, which was so worth it for what you knew you'd come home to! Thanks so much Fam Wolf for the best time - we will be back!

We stayed one week during busy school holidays. We had a large family room that had two spacious sections each with own TV. It was very convinient as kids and parents had their own area! I especially liked luxurious and spacious spa with several different sauna options! After long day on the slopes, it is so nice to relax and get yourself ready for the dinner. The spa area was modern, clean, large and never crowded! Food was amazing! Compared to other skiing stays that we have had, dinner was really ala carte! Breakfast was high quality and had many options. The location was perfect, two-three minutes walk to ski deposit Skialp. Our three kids loved the stay and we would certainly come again! Lech skiing area is amazing! Thank you very much!

Wow what a hotel! Amazing in every way. We stayed here for 5 nights and were blown away by the service, food and hotel. The staff are incredibly welcoming and speak great English. We were also provided with a complimentary upgrade upon arriving! And the food! The breakfast is amazing; fresh fruit and smoked salmon, a huge assortment of cheeses, meats and breads, a selection of hot food and my favourite part, fresh honeycomb!! The dinners are excellent too, 3 course meals as well as an aperitif bar and cheese bar to finish your meal. I’d highly recommend staying at Hotel Acerina, you won’t be disappointed; Fam Wolf are wonderful hosts.

Our family has just had a fantastic week at Hotel Acerina - ski passes sorted within 15 minutes of arriving, cosy and super clean room (with special treatment for the children's teddy bears by housekeeping each day!), relaxing and very welcome spa facilities after hours on the slopes, and best of all the amazing food. Nothing was too much trouble e.g. different types of eggs for the children in a morning, and smaller portions of the super variety of foods for them to try at supper (venison ragout - tick! entrecote - tick! pumpkin parfait - tick!). We stayed in one of the family 'souterrain' rooms i.e. below street level, which we weren't too sure about when we booked but actually it was very light with an enormous window so we didn't really notice. The hotel is located in a very quiet part of Lech, set back from the main road, so sleeping is easy (helped by the very comfy beds!), but also really close to ski rental / ski school / numerous cable cars and chair lifts...no more than a 5/7 min slow walk in ski boots to anything really. The drinks menu looked highly extensive - a shame we aren't big drinkers otherwise I think we could have had a lot of fun exploring the wine list! We honestly couldn't fault anything about the hotel at all and would love to return next winter. The best family holiday!

We have stayed at Hotel Acerina for the past 4 nights and it really is a wonderful place to stay. Our room (25)was on the lower level, comfortable with a huge bed, sofa and a modern large shower room (no bath which we knew when we booked). Pretty room, very light with plenty of hooks and wardrobe space with lots of hangers. Dressing gown and slippers included. The spa area is very impressive with a variety of saunas at different heat and humidities- it seemed to be very new and was spotlessly clean. Not too many naked men!! We were staying on a half board basis and I think I have put on about 5 lbs in 4 days as the food was so wonderful. The buffet spread for breakfast includes a variety of fresh fruits, smoked salmon, meats, cheeses, a whole honeycomb, all sorts of fruit juices and prosecco so a Bellini with breakfast was a good start to the day. There was a different hot dish each day and eggs cooked to order. The cheeseboard is the best I have seen anywhere (maybe apart from Murano -the Hartnett restaurant in London ) with different cheeses introduced day by day and this was also the final course of the dinner each day - if you have room. However after the first four courses you may be full already! We had beef,lamb and venison during our stay all of which were perfectly cooked and quite delicious. Also there are lovely sweet and savoury snacks on the bar to help yourself to if you aren’t completely full up ! All the staff were charming including the owner who gave us a gift as we departed. As far as location goes, it is just above the Main Street which was a 2 minute walk along the road ‘Angers’ then ski down a couple of hundred yards, cross over the road and the river to the chair lift. Probably 6-7 minutes tops. Maybe a little longer coming back carrying skis but it’s an easy walk especially after an apres Ski gluwein. We usually try to book ski in ski out but the location here was good enough. Value for money given the quality of the accommodation and food was very good. The hotel is listed as three star - but in our view the whole experience was four star or above and we will definitely return!

You can believe all the good reviews ! Clean, charming, good food and staff always helpful. Even catered for my vegan daughter with awesome plates of steamed veggies. Great schnitzel. Fully recommend the Acerina ! Family Pichlmann Brisbane Aus.

This is a lovely hotel! I have no hesitation on recommending it. We stayed in a single room and double room which both had plenty of space. Herr and Frau Wolf were delightful and hands on and only too happy to respond to any requests. The rooms described on their own website are accurate. Actually in my haste to book, I missed the superb modern Wellness Centre in the basement. Exceptional. The hotel was spotless without a speck of dust. The staff were exceptionally friendly without being intrusive. There were always polite enquiries to be of further help. The dining room was charming and the food of high standard. We were taken aback on the variety and amount. We have absolutely no hesitation in rebooking Hotel Acerina again especially since Lech is such a good resort with a generally good level of skiers. I could go on! Ignore that silly bad review- it's completely unwarranted!
