Emergency light above stairs not working so it’s darker in that part of the corridor, the whole place was very cold, heaters in the hallway switched off. The door to reception was locked over night which meant there was only one fire escape route useable. No paperwork in the room, no access to WiFi code or information should we need to call someone in an emergency. Breakfast was poor, being what appeared to be the only guests in the hotel, the very small selection of continental was set up on our table. Breakfast staff seemed friendly enough but lacked basic training in service. On asking for juice we were given juice cartons you would find in a child’s lunch box, 2 each as we were adults. None of the items in the room pat tested and the lamp cable not being long enough to reach the plug was bodged with another cable, block and electrical tape. This place could be a little gem if some love care and attention was put into play.

Although other reviews remarked about an exceptional breakfast, no breakfast was available when I stayed. When travelling for work this is very important for me.
