Very welcoming staff. Proper English country pub. Breakfast was fabulous! Beautiful location.

The rooms are quite dated. Could definitely use a bit of tlc. Nice and clean.

I liked the staff who were very helpful and the quiet location. Breakfast was good but please buy a new toaster!!

I thought the place looked dowdy and in need of a refurbishment especially the bathroom and a good clean or replacement of the carpets. I didnt like all the steps as I have a walking stick and this is not the hotel for elderly or those in wheelchairs!

It was in the country.

Pet policy is unclear. My booking said pets included in the price when we got there we were advised only small dogs are accepted and there is an additional £25 fee to clean the carpets after our stay. Bathroom was dated but functional. Poor lighting in the room, decorated 25 years ago as the radiator and trouser press were still present. There has been a clear attempt to modernise as USB sockets. Would not return wasn't made to feel welcome more like an inconvenience and judged for having a large dog. Loud music at 10pm to try and made us leave. Cheering as we left. Foldable wooden chair in the wardrobe. Stains in the bedding. Cleanliness is not a priority.
