The owner and her family were extremely helpful to us and were willing to provide anything we asked. They organised our Uber transport to the airport and gave us everything we needed to make our meals. Excellent location and the first guaranteed hot water showers we have had during our month long trip!

Fine location on a quiet street close to the Frida Kahlo and Trotsky museums. The owner/son was very friendly and we could leave our luggage for a few hours after check-out. It was an interesting house with neat decorations and a nice rooftop terrace. There were extra blankets.

One room was clean, the other had a stained/dirty white towel in the bathroom. One room had no window, except through shutters on the doors looking out onto the hallway/stairwell, so it was rather dark, and people walking by could look in. There was a water cooler, but it was empty in the morning so we couldn't get a drink of water.

The location was great. Close to Walmart and the trolley bus to town. Nice plants and decoration. Autonomous entry, if needed. Good wifi. My room had an old fridge, which was useable. Bed was comfy and room was quiet. I liked the design- bamboo and wall paper of a forest.

As others have said, the description of the facilities are misleading. There is no kitchen and rooms do not have tea and coffee making facilities. There is a microwave, toaster oven, fridge and hot water machine in reception, with a few cups, some coffee, sugar and milk. However you can't prepare food there and there is no cutlery, crockery, etc. I stayed in a 4 person room because the price was the same as a double and I wanted more space. I specifically asked NOT to get the room I ended up getting ( the one with a bed over another bed). I hit my head several times and it was hard to move around the bed ( which was also the couch). The room description also said there was a seating area, but that wasn't true either.The reason I couldn't get the room I wanted was because the people had not checked out. One problem with this accommodation is it's not clear who works there and how to contact them. There is no official check in and check out procedure. It would be useful to put a sign on the door where the family lives that says "office" and workers / owners should be available at check in and check out times. I arrived on a Sunday so I can't comment about other days. As said by others there is a lack of places to put your stuff, no bedside cabinets, scratchy towels, many stairs, and rooms need some basic maintenance. The chair for the desk was a deckchair, which was ripped, so I asked to use a plastic deck chair instead.

The staff was super friendly. It's located in a safe/nice area. The price/quality was great
