The Black Bull Inn and Hotel

The staff was super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was also very good and the fact that our dogs could follow us everywhere was a plus.

We had an exterior light near our window and the curtains were not blackout, but nothing an eye cover didn't solve.

The location was great, the room was quiet and with very comfortable bed. Everywhere was very clean. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was really good and plentiful.

Personalet var helt igennem enestående. Vi ankom sent, og havde en sen check in, men dette var intet problem. Fantastisk værelse med en god seng.

It’s iconic and where DC stayed so good enough for him good enough for me !

It appears there was an error with our booking. We had booked a twin and arrival got put in the cottage which at first glance was a lovely upgrade...however on 2nd night 2 other guests were put in the other bedroom...no one told us! Sharing a house with 2 randoms! I was raging! Also it wasnt that clean and it was smelly.

Th staff were excellent, very warm and firendly and helpful.

Booked through Booking.com as in the past they have had an excellent cancellation policy in the event of an unexpected change to our itinerary, meaning that cancellations could be made up to a day or so before arrival. However for this trip I discovered that a new policy is now in place where the stay can only be cancelled up to 1 week beforehand.

The staff were ever so friendly and welcoming. Location is perfect, lovely cosy room. We hope to make it an annual trip!
