Excellent stay for a Birthday

Great food,very friendly helpful staff

Breakfast was superb, had evening meals both nights, lovely.

Could not finish off the meals (full up) - portions were generous.

We were warmly welcomed by Karen and her team. The room was exceptionally clean and warm, we had beautiful views over the lake. It was early Christmas and the whole place was tastefully decorated, we loved that the multi-fuel burners were on, creating an even warmer and cozier atmosphere. We ate at the hotel in the evening, there was a good choice of food and we loved the vegetarian options. Breakfast the next morning set us up for a good day's sightseeing of the Shire Centre next door and Beeston Castle. We had a fabulous weekend.

Very comfortable room and large, clean bathroom. We had an evening meal here and it was excellent, and very reasonably-priced. Plenty of choice for breakfast - all freshly prepared. Karen and the rest of the staff are so friendly and helpful.

The TV in the room seemed a little unstable - intermittent picture hashing and volume problems. There could have been a little more room to enable the use of a laptop.
