Seaside Inn

No breakfast included, and no coffee in the room. Only tea for the Keurig machine. But they had a very comfortable bed and pillows.

I always have coffee in the mornings … I thought that they only drink tea in Maine.

Shared bath but that was what available

The Seaside Inn is located in Port Clyde Maine looking out on the docks of the Monhegan Boat Company. We always stay here before taking the boat over to Monhegan Island. It is a beautiful place that we love. This Inn is a restored Captain's House that is typical of the Maine sea shore. I recommend it to anyone that loves rustic Maine. The room that we stay in is wonderful.

Great location however for $260.00 we were stuck in an attic room which was stuffy and warm. Nowhere in the description was it disclosed that there was a shared bathroom. No shower, only a tub with a spray hose. Very disappointing.

Great location

Our stay at Seaside Inn was the perfect respite. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a longer stay! Our room on the first floor was thoughtfully appointed, right down to the luxurious linens, custom pendant lighting and slab surround for the refrigerator. Following a lovely walk around town with our dog Mica, we enjoyed a beer with popcorn shrimp from the Dip Net at The Barn Cafe next door. Tables and chairs on the inn's front lawn overlooking the harbor made for a wonderful picnic dinner. The inn was quiet and and exceptionally clean. The town itself was great for dog walks. We'll be back!!

Beautiful area and wonderful, friendly staff.

It's an old building that has very steep stairs, which isn't as good for less able people.

The room met my needs and was inexpensive. The location was perfect for my needs, which was as a place to stay for a day-trip to Mohegan Island. I really liked the clock with a wireless iPhone charger.

The instructions I got by email said to return the key to the office; however there seemed to be no office to return the key to. WIFI was available, but to use it I had to call the emergency number to get the password, which did come immediately. Fog and rain meant there was not much to do but sit in the room which was small, without even room for a chair. The bed was covered with an excess of pillows that had to fill up the floor space. Since there was no television or radio so my only entertainment was from my cellphone. The toilet in the closest shared bathroom was broken and would not flush; moreover the tile next to the toilet was broken.

Location was great. Room was clean and cozy. Bed was comfortable.

Room was very small. No windows and expected a seaside view. Bathroom not separate from bedroom.
