We’ve visited the restaurant on numerous occasions before which is why we chose the hotel for a Spring break. It’s a great location and the parking was good given the hotel’s central location. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially when we encountered problems and a discount was offered to cooks for issues over the room allocation. The food was very good, although we found the menu less extensive than on previous visits.

Due to an apparent misunderstanding, they were unable to provide the room preference we had requested in advance which left us with what could only be described as a “pokey” room as we needed a walk in shower due to our age. The lesson here is to double check your arrangements! Problems with housekeeping resulted in our room not being serviced.

Room was small and crammed, small double. For a 4* property one would expect a larger room and bed. Shower was very poor. Fixed head very high up. Impossible to adjust shower head position. No hand-held / adjustable height shower lead. Both of us are slim, but the shower cubicle was tiny. Configuration of shower door meant you had to enter shower prior to turning on taps and so were drenched from high in cold water. Two levers, no indication of which controlled flow and which controlled temperature. I have suggested to management that they attempt to have a shower so they may experience it first-hand and hopefully make changes. I would strongly recommend that you check room and bed size before booking. Quality of furnishings was good.
