Sports Garden Hotel

The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Recently renovated without marks on the walls or carpet. Bathroom made easy to clean, so it was clean. Location close but out of the way from main hustle. Manager went out of his way to find me a suitable room. Pleasant staff. Easy 24hr access.

Room smelt like smoke/cigarettes. Leaving car on the street with renowned issues around the area (nothing can be done about this)

Our room lacked somewhere to hang clothes, (one hook on the door). Room could sleep 3, but only 1 suitcase stand. Bathroom mirror small and the only 1 in the room, located quite high on the wall above the sink. Bathroom basin, small and nowhere to put personal bathroom items. (there was a small shelf above basin which held face washers, shampoos and soap) Nowhere to hang hand towel and from memory 1 hook and I towel rack nowhere for 3 towels to hang (if 3 persons stay)

The staff were lovely. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and suitable for my short overnight stay.

When I chose this venue, the advice was there maybe bands on the weekend. However, it was Wednesday night & there was a band playing loudly outside my room until 11pm. No rebate offered on my room. (prepaid) The hot water took ages to come through, I almost gave up expecting any. (was good when it arrived)

The staff is happy, helpfull and lovely in every way. Therooms are clean, but lack of storage space makes it difficult to move around.

Convenient location in the centre of town. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and quiet. There is a nice bar and dining room downstairs
