I quite like small, locally run off the beaten track places, which is exactly what this is. The bar and restaurant are quite cosy. There's a beer garden in the back which is good to sit in with a drink while the kids tire themselves out in the play area. The room was a good size for us with 2 small kids. The food is decent hearty pub food at a really good price and there's everything you need at breakfast. I think the best part of the stay was the friendliness of all the team. They were really welcoming and helpful throughout, especially the chef, he was great with the kids. The price was extremely good both for the stay and the food.

It's not specifically a dislike, but it is a distance from many places so it's not going to appeal to everyone, however, if you're happy with a bit of extra driving it's worth it for the lack of noise and traffic....and the friendly team.

Excellent breakfast, nothing too much trouble for the owner. Room a good size, bed very comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinners were really delicious, breakfast great too. Great size bed, and lovely walk in shower.
