MONEA Royal Monica

After reading some reviews I was a bit concerned but the reality was very different. We had a large and spacious room overlooking the promenade and lovely views. The room was clean and serviced each day apart from Wednesday and Sunday. Some of the decor etc was a bit 'tired' but it wasn't a problem to us. The food was very good with a variety of options. More than happy with price and value for money. Location is a bit far out of Playa Blanca but taxis aren't expensive or if you're fit enough a lovely walk along the promenade. Good sized pool and friendly staff.

-The view and the garden were beautiful. The free sunbeds right on the beach (quite a lot) few steps from the room. (FYI: This beach is rocky and very dangerous to get into the water next to the hotel but there are beautiful sandy beaches not too far like Flamingo beach and the Playa Blanca). -The large suit with the big terrace with ocean view on the 2nd floor. - Great bathroom with huge bottle of shower gel/shampoo. -Beautiful promenade. Great for walkers with breathtaking views. -Large restaurant with terrace with all kind of tables for everyone. Soft pillows and peaceful nights. - Pleasant music at the reception area and great excursions organized by the receptionists (I can really recommend it. Special thanks to the receptionist Mr Jesus. )

- The BED: was incredible hard. It felt like I was lying on a stone bed and it really hurt my hip bones while trying to fall asleep. They need to do something with it. - The POOL-BAR: No vibe at all. The DRINKS: very poor, Mojito feels like a lemonade only. Lots of sugar in it, lack of alcohol. The whisky feels like they mixed it with water. The evening "entertainment": I have traveled a lot but it was the poorest I have ever seen in my entire life. Sorry to say but it lacked of every professionalism. The huge reflector lamps are just awful. All of them directed to the audience face which makes you feel immediately very discomforted. Such as the very bad quality laud-speaker boxes. -The EVENING SHOWS: The poor bar accommodate it. I even would not call it show at all. Don`t expect any dance or singing show. There is none. Neither a good music. The whole pool bar need decoration, good lighting in the evening and much much more to make it really a pool bar in order to entertain the people. Mostly elderly people are in the hotel but it should not mean that they can not get a lovely show with good music and fun even if it not a luxurious hotel. The only good thing at the pool bar was the great view from it to the ocean and the other islands. The pool bar guys are great but the drinks are not. - The whole hotel needs a bit of love, some flowers at the reception area to make you feel welcome. - The bad smell of the elevator. (It really needs a refurbishment, the rubber flooring of it is full of with humps.) - The towels smell fish! Even a freshest ones. Especially the large bath towels. Not a pleasant feel to use it after taking a shower

El animador Antón y los camareros del comedor. El trato fue espectacular por parte de estos trabajadores. El resto de animadores se les veía con muy poca ganas de trabajar, el único con ganas era Antón, lo mismo con el personal de comedor, todos los camareros de comedor encantadores.

La atención de recepción, sobre todo de la que parecía la encargada... Los camareros de la piscina no sabían hablar castellano y en un hotel en España nos parece primordial, lo mismo pasaba con los animadores solo sabía español Antón. Nos parece vergonzoso ya que por mucho extranjero que haya no podemos sentirnos extranjeros los españoles en nuestro propio país. Íbamos con niños y solo les animaba a jugar y bailar Antón, el resto no les hablaba.

Oui, juste peut etres quelques petits travaux a faire mais sinon super.

What a beautiful hotel the staff cannot do enough for you Angela at reception greets you when you arrive with a lovely smile we arrived very late and they put on a supper for us Muhammed in the restaurant was great always smiling and Jesus's at reception couldn't do enough for you i would definitely go there again xx

We had a brilliant time here. Gorgeous location- a bit out from the town but we got a taxi in and walked home. The staff were suoer friendly and the entertainment staff were absolutely fantastic. My 4 children adored it. The hotel is a perfect size for us. The pool was perfect and there was always a sun lounger no matter what time of the day you arrived to the pool. We loved the food especially the paella. We had a fantastic holiday

No good for anything bad sevice and not nice food no clean at all building look like going callaspes any day no safe to sit on balcony no warth for what we pay for all inclusive .and far for any shopping . Dirty every where . Wifi is worst not right good no power at all

This a lovely 3* hotel! As a couple looking for a quiet break, the location was perfect. The setting is stunning, right by the sea and that private beach with he alcoves is an absolutely incredible place to relax. Don't expect Playa Blanca on your doorstep here. It is a walk away, but a very beautiful walk! Bus stop only 10 mins walk max, and the buses will take you into the centre for very cheap, and very quickly. The hotel is simple but clean. Everything they offer is clearly written on the hotel description so don't be surprised that there is no tea/coffee, and mini fridge in room. Staff are very lovely and helpful! I need to mention the lifeguard who did not stop working to clean and maintain the pool area. My husband and I watched in awe at his hard work. Same goes to Anton and we think Leo? These two from the animation team were brilliant they swapped between languages to ensure inclusivity and they worked so hard to provide activities. I read a few reviews complaining about the entertainment being in french only.... We found the opposite, they provided it in at least 4 languages! The food is good and varied. No complaints. Remember this is 3*. Yes, I could be renovated but then our holiday would cost twice as much! Clean, friendly, quiet, beautiful location. We will be back!

Il cibo eccellente e abbondante, staff tutti eccezionali ma la nostra preferita è Gladys della reception. Tutto bellissimo e organizzato.

Forse l'unica cosa fastidiosa può essere che ci sono molte mosche e a volte risulta un po fastidioso.
