Atour Hotel Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain Cableway

Excellent location for Tianmen mountain. The room is nicer than standard Ibis in Europe and the price is very affordable.

Westerners should know most of the fast food western restaurant are in the city centre which is across the bridge. The only western food near this hotel is a McDonalds across the road.

Location. Close to cable car station. Lots of eating option.

An in room safe would be nice.

The breakfast was okay. A lot of variety and the quality was solid. There was a noodle stand offering hot noodle soup which was quite good. I got a suite so it was roomy. The location is great facing the cable car station and with a lot of restaurants around the hotel.

There was no air-con in the room and the central air-con was not on. Fortunately I stay there in March when the night temperature was lower but I still had to open the window to cool down the room. With opened window and opened curtain you get to see the sun very early which affected my sleep. I complained to the front desk but nothing happened. This will be a deal breaker for me in the summer as I would never be sure whether the central air-con will be working or not.

Perfect location to explore the Tianmen mountain a the cableway station is literally 5 mins walk from the hotel entrance. Very new, clean and well-maintained hotel. Special mention to the front counter staff on our check in day who patiently helped us sort out payment issue! Lovely library at the lobby.

Occasional smell of smoke, not sure if the hotel is entirely smoke-free.
