Location for visit to Harry Potter world and great traditional pub

Food was amazing! Freshly made! Absolutely love the hotel! Stayed here twice now and the rooms are huge, comfortable! Staff are so nice and helpful! 25minute walk to the train station an 9minute drive to Harry Potter studio’s!

Helpful staff, very cosy, plus a very substantial breakfast!

Almost nothing except the terrible noise from below did actually stop around 11.00pm Effective double glazing.

The car park whose surface was badly rutted, completely full and with piles of other stuff taking up space. The appalling noise from the event in the bar below. The fact that the 'en-suite' contained a bath/shower and WC but the washbasin was in the bedroom. Neither the bath nor washbasin had a plug (though one was produced when we asked) and the shower light did not work. Neither did the extractor fan in the bathroom though the wiring was dangerously exposed. When the loo was flushed a noisy thumping sound within the pipework started and lasted for probably about ten minutes. The only way of stopping it was by turning on a cold tap. The bathroom was constructed in a dreadfully amateur manner and very poor quality and grubby in places. The furniture in the bedroom was random and ill-suited for the room. On our second night it proved impossible to stream any programmes on the TV as the broadband connection was clearly inadequete. The walls were paper thin, so anyone walking down the adjacent corriddoor could be clearly heard and caused the floor to creak and, when closing a door, the whole place shook. The hanging rail for cloths was fastened to the wall above the bed. So if you wanted to hang a long coat or a dress on it, then you would have to spend the night with it brushing your face!

Alleen het meisje in de bediening was aardig. Voor de rest het slechtste hotel waar ik ooit ben geweest.

Het hotel is rommelig aan zowel de buiten- als binnenzijde. De kamer echt een drama en van het schoonmaken van een kamer hebben ze nog nooit gehoord. Ook is er iemand midden in de nacht aan het timmeren en slopen. Wat een drama dat hotel!

Location was ideal for my needs
