Green Tree Hotel

Called in to the Public Bar of the Green Tree Hotel two nights ago following the Sian concert at the Eastgate Theatre opposite. This is exactly what a local should be. A well-stocked bar and a friendly soul behind the bar make this place highly popular with locals at excellent prices. And, best of all, spirits sold in 35mm measures and not those ghastly 25mm measures sold in far too many places. (The Sian Gaelic Concert was another brilliant effort from those lovely ladies Ellen, Eilidh and Ceitlin - and, of course, their highly talented accompanying multi-instrumentalist, Innes White).

Central location. On site parking. Friendly staff. Very clean.

In need of some TLC, but that seemed to be happening as new carpets were being fitted.

Staff was very nice, a nice old bar within the hotel, evening meal was good,

Bathroom very tired and need an update, had masking tape on the toilet to stem a leak, shower was very poor standard, rail broken and left on the wall, the shower tray had mold around the edges, the room was in need of an update as its very tired and worn, but overall it was adequate for the night we had.

Das Hotel ist schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Aber dafür passt die Ausstattung. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkomnend. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, neben dem angebotenen typischen Continental Breakfast wird das deftige wunschgemäß zubereitet. War sehr gut!
