Staff very polite and friendly. Room very comfortable if a little small- but I knew that from online photos. Excellent location for my purposes - Park Hall nearby. Evening meal very good. Two issues: no ceiling light and music from bar until 11pm. The 1st could have been attended to

Beautiful building with a welcoming facade. Evening meal in the restaurant was exceptional, really tasty. Room was welcoming and clean.

The picture on booking.com very cleverly failed to show the main road running right alongside the building with a busy junction aswell. Traffic noise was awful . Breakfast choice for cereal was zero, infact the breakfast needs to be looked at as there was no choice at all and nothing set up for a breakfast buffet, disappointing because what we did have cooked was very tasty

Great location and there was a music event at the castle opposite, food was amazing we had tea and breakfast and both were lovely! Staff very welcoming

Space rooms

Booked in and was told they were double booked. Offered us a double (2 x men). Told them it was booked 3 months prior. Eventually they managed to get another couple to swap who had just turned up and had our room!! Shower wasn't great, and the rail kept coming away from the holder. Had food which looked decent but I had the chilli and it never came with rice????

From the moment we arrived the staff here could not have been more friendly and helpful to us and our dog. The room was a good size and the bed wonderfully comfortable. We had a table booked for our evening meal, which was delicious, and wow, the breakfast the next morning was enormous and very tasty. It set us up for the whole day. We were lucky enough to arrive on a day they were holding a theme night, Country and Western. We loved how everyone got into it and had a brilliant evening. Very welcoming staff and locals. Directly opposite the pub is a beautiful castle ruin which was a great place to walk the dog.

It was the hottest day of the year so far, so understandably the room was very hot, and we had to open windows. The pub is directly opposite the church which chimed on the quarter hour all night long, causing a disturbed nights sleep. The shower door didn't have a seal under it, so water poured out when being used, we had to put most of our towels on the floor to mop up the spill.
