"Excellent"

Good location. Easy two minute walk into town across the bridge. Very good breakfast View from window was very good with a field of sheep next to the stone bridge. Peaceful.

"Excellent hosts!!"

Paul and his family were so welcoming and excellent hosts throughout our stay. Paul really friendly and communicative on the Booking app providing excellent information about local eateries. Our full Welsh breakfast was excellent. Locally sourced and ser us up for our day ahead!. We can highly recommend a stay here. Many thanks to Paul and his family!!

"Not as advertised, but ok if you want a place to sleep."

The location and comfort

the fact that the restaurant wasn't open and the bar was non existant. We were told that booking.com had informed all bookings that the bar/restaurant was closed but that wasn't the case. This was extremely inconvenient as one of our party has a hard time walking, which is why we only book at places with onsite bar/restaurant.

"Lovely stay in clean, and friendly setting with excellent breakfast."

Very well decorated bar and restaurant. The room was comfortable with lots of tea, coffee and toiletries. Very good position over looking the fields and close to the town. Lovely people, very welcoming and great breakfast.

Lots of stairs to our room but can’t be helped.

"Convenient location and comfortable room"

Great location for Royal Welsh showground. Comfortable beds and spacious, clean room.

The streetlight outside our room at the front kept us awake. The blackouts need to be thicker. It was difficult to gain entry to check in! I had to sign through the window whilst standing in the rain.

"Lovely, quiet and comfortable former public house/hotel in a beautiful spot by the river in Builth W"

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The room was cosy and comfortable although very small.

The en suite bathroom was tiny and cramped and had the smallest wash basin I have ever seen. However, the room was comfortable and cosy. I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed for evening meal and I had to find an alternative restaurant in town. Having stayed at this property before, I had enjoyed excellent evening meals previously.
