Tollemache Arms

The pub is stunning, the service is excellent and friendly and the food is great. Every member of staff is really attentive and a credit to the pub. I cannot recommend a visit to the pub more highly, it’s a lovely experience. Check in was friendly and efficient.

Whilst the pub and restaurant is 10/10, the rooms are so disappointing. Tired decor, pealing wallpaper, small grey rooms, no wardrobe, inconsistent Wi-Fi, and incredibly creaky floorboards in the hallways and rooms. You hear every move from other guests. It’s 5/10 at best. Rooms are clean however, and the breakfast and service in the restaurant was excellent, as expected. Such a shame the rooms are miles away from the brilliant pub and restaurant.

It was dirty and tired, the room next to mine I was waken by his snoring, and when he got up it made my bed shake when he walked around.

EASY ACCESS FRIENDLY STAFF EVERYTHING WAS EASY AND STRAIGHT FORWARD BECAUSE WE HAD TO LEAVE AT 6 IN THE MORNING AND WERE NOT ABLE TO ENJOY BREAKFAST BUT WAS OFFERED PACKED LUNCH

SHAME ON REDUCED WORKING HOURS WE ARRIVED SHORTLY AFTER 8PM DUE TO TRAFFIC AND STILL HAD TO GO TO OULTON PARK, WE HAD TO CHECK IN BEFORE OUR OTHER ARRANGEMENTS AS THE LATEST CHECK IN WAS 9PM. AFTER CHECKING IN AND OUR OTHER ARRANGMENTS WE HAD TO FIND DINNER ELSEWHERE AS NO FOOD WAS SERVED AFTER 9PM ALSO. THERE WAS 2 GUESTS AND ONLY 1 PACK LUNCH WAS PROVIDED. WE WERENT ASKED WHAT TO HAVE ON THE PACH LUNCE AND WERE GIVEN 1 CHEESE SANDWISH, BANANA AND WATER CAN.
