Cabañas alto del aguila

Cabañas alto del Aguila is really a unique place. Fray and Helena provide a welcoming environment in the middle of the jungle, with cute monkeys and parrots present on site. The rooms are simple and “roots”, but comfortable and match the environment. You get what you come for, peace and quiet right there on the Amazone river. Highly recommend.

The only downside is the walking distance to the village, which corresponds to 15-20min.

The location was nice. They also helped to arrange activities. Not only animals are around you but the flora as well. The way to Puerto Nariño was a 15-20 minutes walk, which is fine I think. You have to keep in mind that you are far away from the well developed infrastructures, so by keeping this in mind I was satisfied overall. There was WiFi as well which worked better in the common area. Also instead of feeding the monkeys I would recommend just to step outside for a 25-30 minutes at least and the animals will be more exciting to watch them.

It was so amazing staying there and i wish i knew of this place earlier before spending this much time in leticia :) Can't wait to go back one day!

Everything was amazing! What a place! The nature is insane and the cabins are good. They offer day tours which is great!

Amazing and funny place. Exactly what we were searching for.. a simple cabaña in the middle of green jungle, silence, animals, very nice owners. In the case of any "problemito" they helped us immediately. Comfortable bed with a mosquito net. Not in the center of the town so very quiet. You can fall in love with this place. Stay there more than just 1 or 2 nights!

Unfortunately the kitchen has very basic equippement and it is very dirty.

This is my 2nd time at Alto del Aguila. What a great place! Pretty rustic cabins, a most welcoming owner offering very affordable activities with local guides, animals galore. The highlight of the stay: cute squirrel monkeys eat pieces of banana on our shoulders, a capuchin monkey comes to curl up, eagles visit us. You can even borrow the kayak to paddle on the river to see the pink dolphins! You have to walk a little to get to the village but the tranquility, the sound of the birds and the jungle are worth it! In addition, coffee is offered in the morning. I loved my stay and highly recommend this place.

Nothing - I just loved this place !

Small cabins a bit outside of Puerto Narino. Animals like parrots and monkeys live there and you can interact with them. That was the highlight.

A bit too far outside from Puerto Narino. Path walking there can be really muddy. Or take a boat.

The staff were very helpful. Buying tickets for the boat to Leticia. Offering coffee and fruit. They arranged a wonderful trip, to see the pink. Dolphins. The setting in the jungle was amazing. Lots of monkeys, parrots, and we saw a toucan on our last morning!
