Hotel Sonia Chipude

The restaurant at the hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly and the food was spectacular. We went there both for breakfast and dinner.

The room was very cold! Me and my friend stayed in separate rooms and one of them didn't have the electric heater.

We hiked the GR131 from San Sebastian to Chipude and after a long hike we were met by Sonia who was full of energy and friendliness. The room was clean and comfortable which is all we needed. We spent the evening in the bar/restaurant which had a good vibe and full of other hikers, the beer was cold and food lovely and hearty. We had the roast chicken and beef stew with pecan and apple pie for dessert. Great stay.

Hotel Sonia is one of a kind and what you get is a great experience. After a long day trekking we were so pleased to arrive and sit in the sunny square with a beer then coffee and delicious cake. The rooms could do with being updated but the shower was great and the food in the restaurant plentiful and very good value.

This is our 4th time staying in Hotel Sonia. We love the location as well as the friendly family who run the hotel serving home made dinners and a large breakfast which sets you up for a day's hiking. We will definitely return on our next trip to La Gomera and highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to everyone for making our visit so enjoyable.

Great hotel, with fantastic service, and the food for dinner and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was in the front so was dark and cool but there was a lovely sun terrace to the rear if you wanted sun and heat. All for a very reasonable price, excellent value.

The restaurant is amazing and the staff were brilliant. An exceptional team!
