The Waverley Hotel

It was a great location, clean and tidy smaller size rooms but still big enough for the two of us to get ready considering we were out most of the time.

loved the room, we booked a twin but we were in a suite. staff were helpful & friendly. the hotel was perfect for sea front or the main shopping area. they provide a parking permit for free(my sons cost him £3 a day) would stay again

we thought it included breakfast as in write up said a hearty breakfast, but was told it wasn't & would cost £10 a day. then they said no breakfast on Sat, Sun or Mon, seeing that we went Thur to Mon meant we only got 1 breakfast, it said it was 8 till but by 8.45 it was cleared away, we didn't get any toast. we left some dirty towels in shower as told but they just refolded them & put them with the clean towels

It was across the road from the beach, the staff was very nice and accommodating, facilities such as the communal toilets was clean as we would come back to use the toilets before going elsewhere etc which was convenient especially with young kids

One room had bodily fluids on the side of the bed when we got there. Another room had blood on the walls and also had cigarette smoke residue lingering in the air. So they changed our rooms and put us altogether in an apartment which was nice. WiFi barely works in the rooms and also no signal either. All our phones would say SOS with the satellite signal. Shower is nice but a bit tight and although they do give you a permit for parking you may have to drive around quite a bit circling the roads to find a space.

We arrived on motorcycles and they very kindly offered to lock them in the courtyard. Would highly recommended them if travelling by motorcycle. Excellent value for money and location.

The beds were so hard and lumpy you had to position yourself around the springs at night. For that reason we actually didn't extend our stay and moved down the road to a cheaper and more comfortable place There are no food or drink facilities We paid £60 a night for a twin room. But beds were so close together was practically sharing a bed. I specifically choose twin rooms due to my child's sleeping habits so I had terrible sleep both nights due to the beds condition and position. Overall it was okay. I would come back again if they sorted the beds out.

Its central location to all the main amenities and it’s a hotel that is noticeably of a high quality and it shows much elegance and comfort. The en suite rooms are faultless, beds very comfortable and decent TV and a secure intercom to each room. I will certainly stay there again and again!

The smoke alarm is situated close to the en suite and if you spray any deodorant, it triggers it off and probably makes the staff assume you are smoking in the room.
