It's an old coaching inn and therefore old decor etc. However this hotel is not suitable for elderly people or disabled. All the bedrooms are on the 1st floor making it difficult to access them via the stairs which are steep. There is no lift or chair lift to assist. There is only one bannister rail on the main stairs and none up on the last 4 steps to the fire doors. A second banister rail should be installed on the main stairs and more on the last 4 steps to the fire doors. In my opinion a chair lift should be installed on the main stairs which are wider than mine at home and we have a chair lift.

The room was very nice, and once the pub closed, it was very quiet. The breakfast was also very nice.

Can't think of anything.

The friendliness of the staff

The place has charm and character and the staff were very friendly.

The Breakfast was of a good standard every day but i would say it was small. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The location was very good with good parking.

All i would say is that the rooms need a revamp and an update/modernization, i had a fire door in my room which had a hole in it, the decoration was poor and the shower pressure is none existent. My stop was for 5 days and my room was not cleaned within those 5 days and i thought that was poor, "It was clean on my arrival "On a positive note, the room had a tv and good tea and coffee making facilities.

Needed a lick of paint

Nice new fresh bath towels but left fluff everywhere when drying ourselves. The old antique furniture was a great touch giving the old building a dated feel.

The room hadn’t been dusted properly, top of the 4 poster bed,the wardrobe was dusty inside and had to wipe down before hanging out wedding outfits in. Lamps dusty. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a couple days with the amount of dust lying about. The sink in the bathroom would drain away properly, like its got a blockage.
