The George Hotel, Dereham

Food was excellent and the staff were brilliant.

Not having a separate shower and only a hand held one attached to the bath taps.

Great location with ample parking. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable, clean room with good WiFi. Nuce addition having the minifridge! Delicious breakfast included!

Lovely individual charm, warm welcome. Beautiful bedroom fitting with style of property..large carpark.

Had granola and yoghurt for breakfast, unsure if I liked it being served in a small desert style sundae glass.. larger portion would have been welcome.

Lovely old pub, great chef, food really good

Badly in need of refurb, small electric shower needs cleaning the small head, furry bathmats hiding Lino that doesn’t fit around the toilet, as it was hot we slept on top of duvet, just before we left I pulled back the sheet to reveal stain mattress with no mattress protector, room opposite had hole kicked through door, dirty carpet going up to the rooms, the rooms have lots of potential as really good size

Breakfast excellent

Needed a good clean in communal areas, shower covered in hair. General tidy up, needed.

The spacious room fitted well into the 400-year old architecture and provided all the right facilities in all the right places (e.g. mains socket near bed). The aircon kept the room beautifully comfortable, despite an un-seasonable Spring Bank Holiday heatwave. The "mini-bar" in the room offering instead, water and fresh milk free, made a refreshing change to chain hotels' approach.

Evening meals not served Sundays - but one can't expect 7-day cover from an 8-room hotel, and I can't blame the hotel for Anglian Water causing a brief interruption to the water supply.
