Grand Villa Heights

The location!!!! Absolutely fantastic. Quiet and delightful

Not so much a "not liked" but there are no signs up to confirm the hotel name! Arrived in Ravenscar and no indication where the hotel was. Approached a likely building to ask where our hotel was located and we we told I actually found the right place! No signs at all.....not even where the entrance to tge hotel reception was. So all's well that ended well, more by luck than available information

The location was exceptional with stunning views across the bay. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of easy parking. Good food on the evening and a good breakfast. Easy access to the coastal walks. Very easy to get to. Stunning gardens all well maintained. The gardener was a very friendly and helpful lady. A very nice National Trust cafe just outside the gates with very friendly staff who were very helpful and informative. So many nice walks and cycleways nearby.

Having to eat our evening meal and breakfast in a very dark and uncomfortable bar/restaurant. Shame we couldn`t use the other bar/restaurant with the bright panoramic views of the coast. The interior décor is too rustic and dark. TV in the room was in the wrong place to actually sit and watch. Only one chair in a double room. Kettle was below the TV and so steam went into the TV! Main staircase has a very low banister rail which could be dangerous, there should be another rail on the wall side.

Loved the place so much, beautiful large room with a view over the cliff and out to sea. Staff were great and the food was fantastic. The place is elegent but not stuffy, I would stay again.

The room was a little dated for the price we paid but the facilities were good and clean

Beautiful location great views and easy travelling distance to the Yorkshire Moors and coastal resorts.

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations for a wedding venue
