Food in the restaurant was excellent. Very good staff in the restaurant too. Set in a stunning location.

Room was very cramped

The hotel is in a beautiful setting. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

There was no signage in the room to indicate that there was a fridge or where it was located, or indeed the tea and coffee. The line to reception was unanswered when I went to advise that we had no milk and had to use my mobile to ring reception. I was then advised the cartons were in the Fridge. (The milk situation was also experienced by another of the wedding guests). The only other issue was the fact that everyone was eating their starter at the wedding and my starter arrived some five minutes later after I had got up to advise the staff.

Breakfast was slow and vegetarian food was not just available it had to be ordered. This took 25 minutes The buffet was needing refilling which meant more waiting. The restaurant was only a quarter full, ao unacceptable as there were an acceptable amount of staff

Loved the staff. Few niggles which were sorted out in the room. Top drawer staff. Reception were very helpful

The buffet breakfast was good. Being able to use the brunch menu if we missed breakfast was excellent. Having the option to sit on the terrace and take in the wonderful grounds was most relaxing, once getting used to the chairs scraping on the hard stone floor. We loved staying at the gatehouse rather than the main house. It was more intimate and quiet. The staff were most attentive and able to meet any of our needs. I think the grounds of the resort were magnificently maintained and watching the children play on the grassed area meant it was a place for all generations.

The television information had not been updated in our folders. The staff were most helpful in explains how to use the remote. A couple of extra hooks in the bathroom to be able to reach the towel when stepping out of the shower would be nice.
