The setting of Irton hall is amazing. Close to some incredible scenery and walking. Not to mention the grounds themselves. The staff on duty were very attentive and the food was good, if a little on the pricey side.

The bed was very uncomfortable. As Irton hall caters for single sex groups on this occasion that proved a problem. Young men drunk and fighting in the outside space under our window kept us awake until 2.30. Doesn't seem to be any on site staff at night to monitor this. We probably just got unlucky, but might be something the owners give some thought to.
