We enjoyed a long weekend break here with our two young daughters. Steve and Wyn were really nice and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing as other reviews suggest. Close to Shell Island, Nantcol waterfall and Children’s Farm Park, which was a hit with our daughters. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Ty Mawr hotel.

I really don’t like to complain, but think there is a room for improvement here. Our room (no 5) was spacious, but the build in wardrobe was partly covered in mold and cob webs at the back so we could not store anything there, however there was a chest of drawers which was big enough. It would be great if there was a wall coat hanger behind the door and we could sit anywhere in the breakfast room rather than being moved due to the number of tables being set up for exact number of guests (it seemed) or set up for dinner later on.
