the rooms are very dated and need a lot of work, though are very spacious

The bed / mattress was very bad quality. Too soft! When i set on it, the springs gone totally flat! I felt like i was sitting on a piece of wood! Posh hotel and cheap mattress. I can't understand it! The room needs a bit of TLC.

The location was lovely. Outdoor area was fantastic .Weather was great that helped.

Where do I begin ? We had stayed at Foxfields in February and Suites and service were fantastic. I rebooked 3 ground floor suites for my son in laws 50th birthday. On arrival told only one was available .The suites offered were outdated and shabby. Service in restaurant was poor . There is a very rude tall head waiter . When I asked could we have a different table due to being sat under air con vent he refused to move us . He said we hadn’t reserved another table even though we had booked a table . He said he could turn the vent off very crossly and walked away . I have a walking stick and prefer to sit at the edge of the room so I can stow the stick away out of staffs way. We observed him taking other diners to those tables . I had an uncomfortable meal as my stick kept slipping off the round table . There was a very nice small Italian waiter I think called Mario . He saw how rude the other man was to us and tried his best to make up for his bad manners . Service was very slow although restaurant wasn’t busy . Meal when it came was fine . Young servers were pleasant and helpful. We observed head waiter being impatient with them though . There was a very lavish wedding taking place . We assumed staff were having to serve tables in other room. Perhaps the wedding guests were given the better suites during our stay . Whatever the reason we definitely felt side lined and made to feel second best on what should have been a lovely occasion for us .

Fantastic room, very friendly staff. Good spa facilities, and the restaurant is very good
