The hotel was located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and is beautifully decorated and clean throughout . Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Beds were very comfortable and the walk in shower in the en suite was easy to understand and use.

As a visitor with walking difficulty a lift would have been helpful but we understood from the owners that the strict planning laws in this National Park had turned down their application. However to improve this facility for old and disabled clients they are building 14 suites at the rear of the hotel overlooking the valley and the river and its famous falls.
