If you are due to arrive after 21:00, if delayed for traffic reasons you must telephone the property to confirm your arrival time. The Sid Valley does not accept payments made by check or American Express card. Reception closes at 21:00. Guests are advised to book tables in the evening restaurant in advance only and this is subject to an additional charge. Please note, pets can only be accommodated in some rooms at the property, and there is a GBP 25 per day, per pet. Only small to medium dogs can be accommodated, and pets are only accommodated based on prior authorization from the property owners. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times at the property, and should not be allowed at the property on their own at any time. The owners of the property have a pet dog.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. Swimming pool: Closed from Thu, Oct 1, 2026 until Tue, May 18, 2027 A deposit may be required at the property.

"Pleasant, quiet stay but more home from home than the hotel experience we hoped for."

The owners who run the property were very pleasant. The views were lovely. If you were looking for peace and quiet, this would be perfect. Excellent breakfast. Warm out door pool. Dinner was available but we didn't have it.

It was too quiet and the service was almost too personal. We expected hotel ambience, especially for the price. What we had was a 5 star guest house. The owners were the only staff we saw. We expected a busy bar and restaurant. We were "up-graded" to a "suite" which was a self catering annex so felt separated from the facilities and had to dress accordingly. With hindsight, I wish we had asked for the hotel room we had booked.

"We have very happy memories of our stay at the Sid Valley Country House Hotel - it was suberb!."

The breakfast room was bright and airy, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. As a lover of nature, there were interesting plants in the room, some I had never encountered before, and there were interesting pictures on the walls. The breakfast itself was more than ample, with several cereals to choose from, and fruits and nuts as well. When at one point my husband asked for a boiled egg he was provided with two, and when we asked for just a minimum amount of toast, we were given more than we requested - examples of the generosity of the owners throughout our stay.

Our dinner on the first night was provided, as requested, but no evening meal was available on the second and third nights. While we did have a fully fitted kitchen, as we were on holiday, we would have preferred to have had dinner at the hotel.

The owners were very welcoming, They went above and beyond with anything and everything. The place itself is beautiful, clean, fresh, smells so nice and even the sounds of the surroundings are adorable.. You hear peace with the odd interruption of sheep, birds and cows. I live 45 minutes away.. I definitely found my bolt hole 🤗!!!

Absolutely everything.. I guess I wish the pool was slightly warmer, brrrr haha!
