If you are due to arrive after 21:00, if delayed for traffic reasons you must telephone the property to confirm your arrival time. The Sid Valley does not accept payments made by check or American Express card. Reception closes at 21:00. Guests are advised to book tables in the evening restaurant in advance only and this is subject to an additional charge. Please note, pets can only be accommodated in some rooms at the property, and there is a GBP 25 per day, per pet. Only small to medium dogs can be accommodated, and pets are only accommodated based on prior authorization from the property owners. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times at the property, and should not be allowed at the property on their own at any time. The owners of the property have a pet dog.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. Excellent hotel in great location with great hosts. Rooms comfortable and good sized bathrooms. Food at the hotel at both dinner and breakfast was really good using good quality ingredients. An impressive buffet spread at breakfast. We were made very welcome by Stephen and Sarah and they are first class hosts, making sure that we had everything that we needed. A place to return to.

Wonderfully relaxing hotel in a beautiful setting, very peaceful. Very friendly hosts, who provided us with a thoroughly enjoyable evening meal, and a breakfast fit for a king!!

Remote but easy to find. Wonderful home cooking. It is run by a very attentive couple who made sure that our stay was fantastic. Swimming pool very clean. Wonderful hosts seem to do everything. Not at all corporate.

I can’t think of anything. Perhaps the price is a bit high if you have other priorities for spending. Ideal for retirees like ourselves. Stunning views in this part if Devon. Not far from the sea.

To provide the requested twin beds, we were given two separate rooms, each with king-size beds!

Slightly self-conscious becasue we were the only residents for four of our five nights, but it did mean we received a very personal service.

"Excellent stay but pricey."

Very friendly owner and his wife - made us very welcome. We were the only 2 guests that evening, so it was beautifully quiet. A1 for hospitality. Dinner was excellent.

The prices of the room, dinner and breakfast were very high for accommodation such as this. It cost the 2 of us £364 for one night. This was excessive IMHO. Breakfast was of poor quality considering the price charged.
