Southend Central Hotel - Close to Beach, City Centre, Train Station & Southend Airport

close to other facilities , friendly people

very noisy, bad smell, horrendous pillows and duvet, very cold

10 min walk from Southend central station.

they could of had some shower gel or a bar of soap for the room.

There was no breakfast facilities - room smelt of wee - didn’t feel very safe as a woman on my own

The location, the shower was very good.

The room was quite small, noisy people upstairs and next door, in the bathroom if you sat on the toilet you hit your knees on the hand basin . No heating was on during the day only on at 8 till 12 it was no good if you were cold or have been out in the cold and rain. Pillows were very flat and not very comfortable to sleep on. Window was not very secure to lock especially being on the ground floor.

there was a bogey (nose skin) on bed sheet & smelt of febreeze (laundry freshener)

Area felt safe

This is a hostel not a hotel. Room looked like student accommodation. Walls and floors so thin could hear conversations. Shower was poor. Bedding had seen better days and needs replacing.
