The Atlantic

Das Zimmer war eine Mischung aus urig und modern. Die Sitznische im (einfach-verglasten) Fenster machte den traditionellen Charme komplett, die Einrichtung, v.a. das Oberlicht im Bad war dagegen zeitlos modern. Das Zimmer war auch deutlich geräumiger als erwartet. Tee-Zubehör war gut sortiert und einladend.

Geschmackssache: Kleiderhaken und Schuhabtropf-Möglichkeiten gleich neben dem Eingang wären schön. Wir waren bei Regenwetter da. Und es fühlt sich "nicht richtig" an, erst einmal mit nassen Schuhen durch´s Zimmer zu gehen, wo man später barfuß entlanglaufen möchte.

The staff were very helpful and friendly both in the hotel and associated pub. The location was good. Restaurant food was nice.

The room we were given was noisy. It had a water pump over head which turned on every time the water was used/toilets were flushed by us and other guests. We asked if we could change room and the staff were super helpful and found us another (they were very booked up) Unfortunately this new room had a velux that leaked rain onto the tv and also did not have a blind. in addition, it had a water pump that turned on and off incessantly all night so we asked to return to our original room as it was the lesser of 2 evils. We were a last minute booking and the price was high for the standard of room. The hotel operates surge pricing, so my expectations were high as we had paid a lot.

Die Tische im Restaurant und Frühstücksraum werden nicht ausreichend gereinigt. Wir mussten jedesmal darauf hinweisen, den Tisch noch zu reinigen. Die dazu verwendeten Sprays machen die Oberfläche klebrig, was sehr unangeehm ist.

Lovely and quirky, great location right by the harbour, we had an extremely comfortable room with a stunning harbour view.

It is a little expensive for what it is, but completely understand that it’s not cheap to maintain a place like that (and how seasonal it is).

Staff under pressure - always polite and helpful but thin on the ground in morning on reception when needing to check out.
