Oakham hotel

Checking in was not what I expected, but adapt, improvise modify and overcome. The room was ok. I suppose for the price the TV was Ok, but I missed my HD transmissions. My bette noirse with this and so many other hotels is the small basin in the bathroom with a monobloc tap. So difficult to was one's face properly having to avoid a forehead injury. Great curry at the Everest Lounge.

Enjoyed the stay however it was closed in the morning there was no house keeping or room service so had to wait till we went to a cafe to have a cuppa tea as couldn't get anymore milk when I messaged them they just totally ignored me

Deco exceptional. The rustic with the old was fabulous. Great view from the room. Lovely and quiet. Staff very helpful and friendly. The roof top outdoor area was a bonus, lovely to sit out as it was a warm evening. Plenty of tea and coffee. Would definitely visit again.

Room and en suite both clean and good quality. Room (no 11) at top of building so v warm in hot weather - fan provided but quite noisy. Tea and coffee facilities. TV missing remote but not major issue. Quality of care from staff top rate - had cut knee outside and staff responded v quickly with providing and fitting plaster. Great job - thank you.

No coat hangers , when we arrived. Hard to find any staff. One of the bathroom towels had holes in it. But room very comfortable .

Bed coukd have been better old style sprung mattress
