Royal Oak Hotel

Really enjoyed it! Lovely room, pictures didn’t do it justice, really aesthetic. Staff were super friendly. Super good location and cheap place to stay with great value for money will definitely return here again:)

The doors and locks were a little odd, when we entered the room the lock thing was on the floor however we could still slide it with our hands to lock the door thankfully. Pub was noisy however that didn’t affect us as we were out for the night but perhaps not the place to stay for people who are wanting an earlier night in

Clean and had everything I needed. Staff were lovely. Great location.

Very dirty room

Excellent location within 100 metres of playing venue. Bed was just so comfortable with nice hanging space for clothes, small but cosy en suite.

Stairs were narrow and fairly steep, especially for customers using crutches, but with hand rail so not so bad. Toilet seat was close to dangerously loose and made strange sounds when you sat down.

"Does exactly what it says on the tin". This is a traditional Victorian pub in a city centre with ensuite rooms upstairs. The bed was very comfy, the bathroom was super clean. This pub seems to be quite a community hub with loyal locals who enjoy the karaoke nights.

Nice touches like biscuits and coffee and tea,

but far too noisy at night from music in the pub downstair

The hygeine and location

Very comfortable double bed, tv in room, en suite shower downstairs has a lovely bar outside smoking area. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Plus There was parking.

Room was very hot because the windows weren’t opening ones. Only had slot at top.
